The Lao Youth Summer Camp Organization was established in 2014 and its organizing committee members are all volunteers from the Elgin community. The purpose of the Lao Youth Summer Camp is to provide our children the opportunity to gain knowledge and appreciation of our Lao culture and heritage in a fun, structured, safe, and engaging manner. The summer camp offers two weeks of summer programming in Lao language, history, arts, crafts, dance, and field trips.
